Terms used on the Site: Auction - A Traditional Auction listing allows you to bid on items and the winner is the highest bidder. Reserve - A price set by the charity which is the minimum bid for the item. LiveBID - Items in this category are part of a live auction. Bidders place a bid online and the bid is then entered into the silent auction or live event gale auction. The highest bidder amongst the online and live bidders wins the item Buy Now - The price to instantly purchase the item. Proxy Bid - The maximum bid amount a bidder places on an item. The site will only bid in the minimum bid increments as noted on the site up to your maximum proxy bid amount. Your proxy bid amount remains secret from all other bidders and the seller. Dutch Auction - If you have 5 men’s shirts that are exactly the same the dutch auction allows a bidder to purchase the number of items available at the winning bid price after the auction closes. Classified Ad - Unlike traditional text only classified ads, our Classified Ads allow image uploads and dynamic communication between the Seller and all potential Buyers. When listing a Classified Ad, you enter your asking price, the shipping cost, and any information about the item or service you are selling. When an arrangement has been reached between the buyer and the seller, the seller can manually end the Classified Ad. Trade - A Trade listing allows you to exchange goods or services with another user. You can choose to accept or decline any posted offer. When listing an item for Trade, you only have to enter the shipping cost. Since the goods are not for sale, you will not be asked to enter a price. Reserve - The Reserve price is the absolute minimum dollar amount the Seller will accept for an item. Buyers are notified after placing their bid if it is below the Reserve price. If a Buyer's maximum bid is greater than the Reserve price, the Reserve is automatically met and that user is the high bidder. The ability to set a Reserve price is only available to Traditional Auctions. Searching - There are two ways to search for items, Basic Search and Advanced Search.
